We built the RTLS we wished existed.

Legacy RTLS systems cost a fortune, take months to deploy, and remain out of reach for most hospitals. We built something different — purpose-built for healthcare, and live in weeks.

Our Story

The problem was always the same. The solution never was.

The real-time location problem in healthcare isn't new. Hospitals have been losing IV pumps for decades. Nurses spend 30–45 minutes per shift searching for equipment that should be at the bedside. Staff duress incidents go unanswered because security can't find the right room. What held the market back was cost.

Legacy RTLS vendors built hardware-heavy systems with multi-month deployments and per-site contracts that only the largest health systems could justify. A 100-bed hospital could not access the same technology as a 1,000-bed network. Mid-size facilities could not justify infrastructure costs built for global enterprise rollouts.

We founded LOCATIX to close that gap. BLE technology has matured to the point where precise indoor positioning is achievable without the infrastructure overhead that legacy systems demand. Cloud-native delivery means no on-premise server to size and maintain. And a well-designed software layer means clinical teams can go live in weeks, not months.

The result is an RTLS platform that any hospital — regardless of size or IT capacity — can deploy, use, and grow with.

Our mission

"Make real-time location intelligence accessible to every facility — not just those that can afford legacy systems."

That means affordable hardware, a cloud-native platform with no servers to manage, a deployment process measured in weeks, and pricing that scales with value delivered — not with the size of your facility.

How we approach every engagement

Three principles behind every product decision and every customer deployment.

Outcome first, technology second

Every engagement starts with a simple question: what problem are you actually trying to solve? The technology follows from the operational outcome — not the other way around. It's why we support multiple positioning technologies in one platform rather than betting everything on a single protocol.

Deploy fast, learn fast

A system that takes 12 months to deploy will never keep pace with how your facility actually operates. We design for fast time-to-value: hardware that ships in days, mounts in hours without specialist help, and a cloud platform your team can configure themselves. Most customers are tracking live assets within six weeks of their hardware order.

Build for the operator, not the administrator

The people who benefit most from RTLS — nurses, clinical leads, and security teams — shouldn't need training to use it. Every product decision is evaluated against one question: can a charge nurse in a busy unit understand this in 30 seconds? If not, we redesign it.

Built for real operational environments

Enterprise-grade security and reliability, without the enterprise complexity.

SOC 2 Type II

Annual audit of security controls. Location data is encrypted in transit and at rest. No third-party data sharing.

End-to-End Encryption

All location data encrypted in transit and at rest — role-based access controls on every account, with on-premise deployment available.

HIPAA Ready

BAA available for healthcare customers. Patient location data handled in compliance with HIPAA privacy and security rules.

HL7 / FHIR

Native support for healthcare interoperability standards. Works with any standards-compliant EHR including Epic and Cerner.

99.9% Uptime SLA

Cloud-native infrastructure on enterprise-grade cloud with redundant regions. SLA backed by contractual credits.

Open REST API

Full-featured API with webhook support. Integrates with CMMS, ERP, nurse call, and building management systems via standard HTTP.

Dedicated Onboarding

Every account gets a named onboarding engineer for the first 90 days — not a ticket queue. Someone who actually knows your floor plan.

No Vendor Lock-in

Standard BLE hardware from multiple manufacturers. Full data export at any time. No proprietary tag formats that trap you in a single-vendor ecosystem.

From hardware order to live tracking

A straightforward process your clinical and IT teams run themselves — refined across dozens of hospital deployments.

  1. Discovery call — Week 1

We map your facility layout, agree on the priority use cases, and size the hardware requirements. Most customers have a deployment plan within 5 business days of the first call.

  2. Hardware delivery & mounting — Weeks 1–2

BLE anchor hardware ships within 5 days. Your facilities team mounts anchors on standard ceiling grid using our step-by-step guide — no specialist contractors, no cabling, no building works.

  3. Platform configuration — Week 2

Upload your floor plans, set up asset categories, alert rules, and user roles in the LOCATIX dashboard. The platform is designed to be self-configured — with documentation and support available every step of the way.

  4. Tag assets & go live — Weeks 3–4

Attach BLE tags to assets, associate them in the dashboard, and you're tracking. No complex calibration required. Most customers are fully live in week 4.

  5. 90-day success review

At 90 days, we review utilization data, asset search time reduction, and alert performance with your team. We use this to identify the next highest-value use case to expand into.
